Grandparents Day 2014

We flew airplanes

Then we laughed with musical hats.  You didn't want the music to stop if you had the dunce hat, because then you were out of the game.

Does Ron look like he just came out of the Music Man play?

Bob looks like he took part on Gilligan's Island

Lydie has a great smile doesn't she?

This child didn't want to smile all day.  I took it as a personal challenge to get him to smile.  Grandpa Jay knew how to do it.  He knew Grandpa loved him.

Jay apparently got the dunce hat.  What a character.

Each team was given five balloons to pop before the other teams using the balloon blow up tool.  It sounded like firecrackers.

The children bounced ping pong balls on the cement into buckets on the grass.

See the world balls on the ground.  We didn't get photos of it, but the children ran through the grandparents that we sitting on the picnic benches hitting the children with the balls.  The children then would pick up the balls and whopped the grandparents back with the balls that hit them.  Talk about funny.  Grandparents and Grandchildren loved this game.

Jumpin' Jehoshaphat kids jumped time and time again over the jump rope.

Three generations picture of Poulsen family.

What child doesn't like peanut butter sandwiches.  Nothing left on their plates this time.

After lunch a cute little girl came to me and asked if we had any more games.  She didn't show any signs of wearing out in the 95 degree game after game day.  I however, did.
