Camp Wrinkle 2012 The Golden Ages Going For The Gold
June 4 through June 8th was Camp Wrinkle. It is a weeks worth of Camp Activities where the seniors regress in age and are very young for a week.
The first day of Camp Wrinkle we started off with a Camp Cheer written by David Walker.

For a refresher course, how about a glass of water down your back?

As our adventure progressed on one of the buses broken down on Parleys. That through a bit of a tilt to the day, but not much. We headed for Park City and toured the town as well as the museums.
Our lunch we enjoyed in Park City's Park. Thanks to the Salt Lake County lunch program we were able to eat good on a budget. The County put a lot of hard work to make it special for us.
Day 2 Washington Park and Olympic Games. Our beginning game was to blow up the balloon, attach it to a straw, mount it on the fish line, let it go to the finish line.
Next game was a Relay Game of Passing The Olympic Torch.
Game three was a Rope Ball team effort to win the points by getting the ball into the bucket.
Showing off the muscles of these recycled teenagers by throwing the discus. The winners on the mens side was Malo Taosoga. The womens side winner was Vida Mortenson.
Malo is the guy with the baseball cap on couching everyone.
Veda is throwing here.
We had lunch after the games. Sloppy Joes were cooked by Zenda's daughters. Thanks girls.
Kevin Astill drove a van for us. Thanks Kevin. I think that we have him hooked on Camp Wrinkle now. We can't leave out the water fight.
It ended good with them being good friends.

Day 3 Buffet and PJ Party. Wednesday we danced to the entertainment by the Bill Davis Trio Band. It was music favorites of the senior campers.
Zenda was initiate Cameren to Camp Wrinkle with A TOA TA. A TOA TA is Zenda's annual event for camp. They were hilarious to watch. Cameren was a good sport.
In the evening we had our Pajama Party and dinner. The movie Cool Runnings was shown as a big screen on the stage wall. We had good movie, good dinner, and good snacks all night. I'm telling you, these people at our center are a blast to be with.
Danna gathered the group together to make a video of them doing our cheer. As David was leading us in the cheer about not being so old he paused, bent over and put his glasses on so he could see the poster on the wall to finish the cheer. The crowd roared with laughter when he did that. Maybe we aren't so old, but he could see the poster or remember the words. Her videos of camp are on http://www.youtube.com/ under IbmisbHaven. Look them up. There is an Indian dance they did that will crack you up.
When they found out that Eileen didn't cook the meal, they were happy to dig in.
These two were afraid the other had the best piece of pizza. They worked it out.
Elizabeth wasn't sure how to handle someone else eating off of her plate. You can see it in her nervous giggle.
We can all learn from the fine example of these two sharing with the teddy bear. Sweet.
Watch out for the camp pranks. Do you think that Zenda knows that she is getting bread stick hair gel?

We are not all barbarians. We have beauty and class too.
Day 4 Fort Buenaventura in Ogden. There were museums, tee pees, and a fort. The canoes were very interesting, we had a few that felt like they were up a creek without a paddle. Seniors went out with an unsure look on their faces and always came back with a big smile of success.
