Thanks to Lynda Westphal from nominating us, the staff to the City Council. It was great to be acknowledged by them. This is the letter she sent in;
To whom it my concern:
I would like to nominate the Harman Senior Recreation Center staff for Division of the Quarter. I feel that the Staff at the Harman Center has worked about and beyond their job description. The Center ever year has a full week of activities that we call Camp Wrinkle. They try to make this week so full of activities that the Seniors are back in time to their younger years. The week is a great success and fills up within the first week of sign ups. It takes the staff months before to make the arrangements and preparations for the week. It is extremely taxing physically and emotionally to pull this week off. But when you see Seniors playing Lazar tag and having water fights and loving the outdoors it is so rewarding.
The requirements on the staff, is way above what a normal work day should be, but you will never hear a complaint from any of them. they work as such a great TEAM, and everyone steps out of their job description to help.
