The Salt Lake Good Time Jazz Band had us dancing, singing and tapping our toes. They were perfect for Pete Harman Day. They had a standing ovation when they had completed their program. Everyone couldn't say enough good about them.
Every year we look forward to seeing some of the employees from Kentucky Fried Chicken. They so graciously donate chicken dinners to help us celebrate Pete. We are always happy to hear from Jay. What a good man he is, and the things we learn about Pete from him are a delight to hear.
Zenda, our manager told about Pete and the quilt he wanted from our center. She was able to speak about times we have had with Pete. It's easy to see that he had a tender place in her heart.
I can see that over the time I have worked here Pete Harman Day helps to continue the spirit of him and his families spirit of giving, caring and kindness in the center. It is good to remember the roots of the center. thanks to Pete and West Valley City we have a place for the seniors to enjoy life in and a good place for us as employees to work.
