Word Search Tournament

This was a great activity for brain cells.  The Word Search Tournament was a big success!  People under pressure of finishing their puzzle before anyone else worked and studied each puzzle.  Dianna kept winning.  Mary was right behind her.  They had strategy of some kind.  Wow!  Those two are serious word search players.
In between each game we would how a fist in the air and yell;  "We are having a wampum good time"! and start the next puzzle.  We could have played one more game, but I could see people getting brain fatigue.

Harry won third place  Dianna First place and Mary second

CONGRATS!

Pie Eating Contest

People were hesitant to sign up for this event.  Finally we had around twenty five people sign up.  It was hilarious.  They finally let their hair down and had fun with it.  It's more fun just to forget yourself and let it happen.  We need to do this more often.  Life is much too serious at times.

Many thanks to Red Lobster donation of the bibs.

David Walker was a good sport to let me use him for the example of the pie eating contest.  After putting a bib on him I put shaving cream all over his face as if it were whipped cream.  I thought that I made it very clear to him that it was shaving cream.  His imagination must have got the best of him.  He eventually had licked some and got it in his mouth.  Ooooh yuck!

Then David and I had fun with the audience

Have look, isn't this a new lady?

Who would like to shake hands with David?  He is such a nice man.

I gave them teeny tiny spoons to eat the pie with so they wouldn't have to get the make-up and hair messed up.

These two photos are brand new ladies at the center.  They got right in and joined the fun!

Our winners were

First place Jay Thorsten
Second place Lynn Valdez
Third Place Micky Shomaker

and then . . .  the battle of the staff

Oh YEAH!

Winning is soooooo much fun!
