Sports Camp Wrinkle 2015

We divided our Sports Camp Wrinkle into the more active people on our bus and the others at the center.  This is how the week played out.
Monday, Day 1 Center
BALL BETWEEN THE LEGS RACE
The contest was to run with the ball between their legs and tag their team mates racing against the other teams.

BALL WORD GAME
The balls are tossed to people in the circle.  When the ball is catch their thumb marks the question to be answered by the person that catch the ball.

BROOM HOCKEY
Each team had to push the ball with a broom under the coffee tables and to the finish line.  To win all of the team needed to accomplish this before the opposing team.

BROOM BASE BALL
Both teams start at the home base at the same time pushing the ball and tagging each base.  The first one in home scored the points.

TENT CONTEST
Each team was timed to see who could raise the tent complete with sleeping bag inside, then tear it down putting in it completely away in a fastest time.

CHICKEN TOSS
The rubber chicken was tossed into the basket across the room.

The victory Chicken Dance - "strutting your stuff!"

CANDY BALL
The candy was wrapped in Seran Wrap.  On the start both teams had to toss the ball across their circle, unwrap a piece of candy, the throw it to another member of their team to do like wise.  The first team to get all the candy our of the wrap won.

Monday, Day 1 Bus Trip

At Stonebridge Golf Course Mike, a Pro Golfer helped everyone understand golf better.  While at Stonebridge a delicious meal was served in the Club House.  The next stop was miniature golf at Mulligans.

Tuesday, Day 2 Center

WHEEL CHAIR BASKETBALL

TEE BALL
Using a bat and the tee ball stand they tried to hit the targets taped on the wall.

Natalie instructed Beverly how to play.  Beverly hasn't been feeling well so we weren't sure she could hit the ball very well.  That little lady scored 110 points.  She frosted all of our cookies!  Wow!  Way to go Beverly.  You just never know what is going to happen at Camp Wrinkle.

CATCH
The balls were hit into the crowd for them to score by catching the flying balls.

Tuesday, Day 2 Bus Trip
We had so much fun playing croquet.  The course was a lot more difficult than we thought it would be.  We got to see indoor surfing and the ropes course.

Wednesday, Day 3

BUFFET AND ENTERTAINMENT

The High Wired Band entertained before lunch.  This exciting and contagious band was perfect for our Camp Wrinkle.  There was certainly a good energy from their music.

The following won prizes.
Beverly Bobbit

Carole Lasche

LaRae Wickens

The County Buffet was very tasty.  They are a good team with our center servers.

Thursday, Day 4 Bus
SOCCER STADIUM TOUR

Our tour was amazing.  The stadium was great.  We got to see the Suites.  They gave us a ticket for a future game.

Friday, Day 5
WASHINGTON PARK

This is my personal favorite of Camp Wrinkle to get outside and enjoy nature.  We have many games, good food, and the best of buddies to hang around with.  This is the day everyone really lets their hair down and just live in a day of bliss.  There were two special guests with us this year that invited themselves.  Look at this photo carefully to see the bubble on the fireplace has a face in it and looking to the right of the photo just on the edge of the fireplace is a white shadow that isn't anyone of our group, or cement.  If you zoom in on this photo it is very clean that the white image glows and is defined in shape.  You draw your own conclusions.  It was taken with my brand new camera so there isn't anything on the lens and I didn't edit it.  Believe it or not.

BINGO

Andy from Serving Time spoiled us with refreshments and wonderful prizes for Bingo.  Andy is a hoot.  He understands and loves our patrons and we can tell it.  This kind gentle man can turn a bingo game into a favorite pastime.  I think we want to adopt him.  The handmade chairs that were made for us for prizes took our breath away.  Talk about the extra mile, this was certainly the case here.

Joan Booth won the child's chair.

Duane Watts won the rocking chair.
