Optimum employees and Bill teamed up with our staff to clean all the food tables and chairs in the cafeteria room. It was hard work and took a while. We couldn't have done it without them. Thank you.

Salt Lake County suggested meal donation is set by the Nurtritional Council of $3.00 for persons 60 years or older. You may give more or less depending on your circumstance.

Over the years that I have worked at this center, I count myself blessed to be able to be employed here. Our patrons are a big plus in my life. They show me what is good about life. Overview
The David and Grace Harman Family Home was the boyhood home of Pete Harman, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, which he donated to the City for use as a senior recreation center. The house was originally built in 1918 and remodeled in 1989 before Harman turned it over to the City.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to enable older adults 60 years or older, to access community resources and participate in Senior Center Programs that enhance dignity, support independence, encourage community involvement and stimulate their physical, mental and emotional well being.

County Van To Center
LaDell Bishop Van Driver
Rides are available for those without transportation. Salt Lake County Aging Services provides a van and driver. You have to live in West Valley City in order to use the van.
It is $1.00 donation per day. The donations are really needed. To schedule the van, call or come into the center.
Depending on the number of people needing the van, the pick up and drop off times will vary.
